Reformer Pilates is an extremely fun and different workout that is unlike anything else. Simply put, the Reformer is a machine which is used to do Pilates, it involves a moveable carriage and springs and a pulley system which provide resistance and allows for a large range of movement, more so than on a Mat.
…don’t be scared, give it a go and you’ll be hooked!
A Mat Pilates class provides the basis for the entire Pilates system of exercises. A workout that focuses on the whole body, a traditional Pilates mat class should work your legs, abdominals, lower/upper back and shoulder stabilising muscles (occasionally classes may have a particular focus but overall should encompass a total body workout).
You will see results from only a few Mat classes.
A Barre workout is a combination of ballet technique (you DO NOT need to have dance experience), Pilates and strength training. It provides an amazing workout to transform your entire body, with an extra focus on legs and “booty”.
We also incorporate light weights and balls as props, to bring the burn to those muscles as well as mats for targeted abdominal work.
